Moore Park Beach

This beach township is possibly the last undiscovered coastal area on the eastern seaboard of Australia. Development to date has been sympathetic to the natural environment with large one acre homesites right on the beach leaving plenty of room for nature and your privacy and a quality of life not found elsewhere. Holiday accommodation ranges from new units to Beach Huts and private homes - some pet friendly!

Moore Park Beach is a relaxed beachside community, located 21 kilometres north of Bundaberg. The long straight road through the sugarcane fields and macadamia nut orchards ends at over 20 kilometres of golden sand lining a gentle curve of beach, backed by she-oak casuarinas, pandanus and tea trees.

Moore Park township stretches some 8 kilometres along the glorious 17 kilometres of Moore Park Beach. This is undoubtedly the regions best beach and it's location only 20 minutes from the regional city of Bundaberg makes it an ideal holiday destination.

The unspoiled beach faces north east and is bounded by the Kolan River to the north and the Moore Park Creek to the south. This offers estuary as well as beach fishing opportunities. 4WDriving is permitted on the beach outside of the township areas for easy access to both. There are excellent public parks, linked walkways and car access points to the beach.

The beach is rated in the least hazardous category by Surf Life Saving Australia. The Surf Club here is very active and hosts many surf carnivals and events. The Club House is available for private bookings. The beach in front is patrolled in the holidays.

There is something here for everyone! Young and old - active and lazy! The Bowls Club is licenced and has nationally ranked greens with night bowls available in the summer months. The tennis club has a big junior membership and night lights for cooler evening games. Both clubs have open days and welcome visitors. The skate bowl is beachside and has BBQ areas adjacent for family fun and shade. Otherwise just lie on the beach or sit in a Cafe and do nothing!

Dogs are permitted on the beach outside the bathing reserve area if they are on a lead. We have three accommodation properties that allow you to bring your dog.

Beachside Central is a small retail centre in Sylvan Drive. Zest Cafe/Restaurant offers exceptional food in a very casual beachy atmosphere - come in your togs, towel, work clothes or tiara!! Our booking office is here and now a Pharmacy and a 7 day convenience store.  You need never go into Bundaberg if you don't wish!

We have a brand new tavern! There are great indoor/outdoor drinking and eating areas - play equipment for the littlies and computer games for the older ones! The bottle store is very extensive with great prices!
